Insert USB Drive:
Insert your USB flash drive into your computer. Make sure it’s empty or doesn’t contain any important data, as the process will erase all existing data on the drive.
Run YUMI:
Double-click the YUMI executable file that you downloaded to launch the application.
Select USB Drive:
In YUMI, select your USB drive from the drop-down menu labeled “Step 1: Select Your USB Drive.”Choose Distribution: In the “Step 2: Select a Distribution” section, scroll through the list of supported distributions and select the one you want to install on the USB drive. You can also select the “Try Unlisted ISO” option to add custom ISO files.
Browse for ISO:
If you selected a distribution, YUMI will prompt you to browse for the ISO file of the distribution. Navigate to the location of the ISO file on your computer and select it.
Create Bootable USB:
Click the “Create” button to begin creating the bootable USB drive with the selected distribution. YUMI will extract the necessary files and configure the USB drive accordingly.
Add More Distributions (Optional):
If you want to add more distributions to the USB drive, repeat steps 5-7 for each additional distribution.
Finalize:
Once the process is complete, YUMI will display a message indicating that the USB drive is ready. You can now safely eject the USB drive from your computer.
Boot from USB:
To boot from the USB drive, insert it into the computer where you want to use it and restart the computer. Depending on your system’s settings, you may need to change the boot order in the BIOS/UEFI settings to prioritize booting from USB.
That’s it! You’ve successfully created a bootable USB drive with YUMI.
